Brighton and Hove Triathlon: Earth, Sea & Fire’s sister race!
Dubrovnik’s first ever EARTH, SEA & FIRE Triathlon is proud to present its sister race: Brighton and Hove Triathlon!
Sport spirit knows neither borders nor boundaries. Once again, this old truth has been testified by the close collaboration of two triathlons, born on the shores of two distant seas: Atlantic and Adriatic. And in the hearts of two truly iconic holiday spots – Brighton and Dubrovnik.
2018 will be the third year of our sister race Brighton and Hove Triathlon. Its 2017 edition has been a major success, gathering as much as 1200 athletes who completed the open water, closed-road course which finished in front of the iconic beach hut lined promenade.
Featuring Olympic, Sprint and Supersprint distances which can be tackled both by individuals and relay teams, our sister race Brighton and Hove Triathlon is a true ambassador of sports and fitness. Along those lines, it includes Children Triathlon and Scootathlon, where the future triathlon champions compete as early as the age of 3.
Besides, with last year’s 40% female entries and 43% first-time triathletes, Brighton and Hove Triathlon has proven to be both a fantastic tri-advertisement and a confirmation that triathlon is accessible to all. Something that we at Dubrovnik EARTH, SEA & FIRE desire to achieve as well.
Another similarity between those two sister races is that EARTH; SEA & FIRE – just like Brighton and Hove Tri – is perfect for PBs, because the sea is calm, while the bike and run courses are pancake flat, allowing the fans to support their triathletes throughout the race course.
Coordinated by an experienced team, many of whom have worked on Olympic and Commonwealth Games events, Brighton and Hove Triathlon is set to grow into one of the biggest events in the British triathlon calendar.
Naturally, everyone engaged in Dubrovnik’s inaugural EARTH, SEA & FIRE Triathlon organisation is very happy to share the privilege of learning from both expertise and experience offered by our sister race Brighton and Hove Triathlon team, especially the race director John Lunt.
Brighton and Hove Triathlon returns on Sunday 16th September 2018, a month before the first ever edition of EARTH, SEA & FIRE.
See you at the race course!
