The Day Before the Race – October 11th
We’ll warm up together with a morning swim on the beautiful Banje Beach. At 7:30 p.m.
All triathletes are invited to join the Welcome Reception, that will be held in Lazareti by the eastern entrance of Dubrovnik Old Town (address: Frana Supila Street)

Additional guest fee is 15€/100HRK per person and needs to be purchased in advance at Friday registration.
The Race day includes Olympic triathlon, Sprint Triathlon and Super Sprint Triathlon.
As all triathletes know, once the race is over, there are even more reasons for celebration! Again, all the triathletes will come together at the post-race TriParty @ Banje Beach (address: Frana Supila Street). The most iconic and most popular Dubrovnik beach is a winner, sure to add “IT factor” to the post-race EARTH, SEA & FIRE party!

At the very end, on October 13, we’ll head together on some optional trips:
1. A two-hour Riviera Cruise, departure 10 a.m. at Gruž harbour.
This is part of your entry fee. Guests are welcome but please register at Registration Friday or Saturday as we need to confirm numbers allowed on the boat.
2. A one-hour Walking Tour of the Old Town Dubrovnik, departure 10 a.m. at Pile Gate Tourist Board Office.

The race course is set in Gruž, a picturesque, naturally sheltered wind-safe Dubrovnik’s inlet. Located approximately 20 minutes walk from the famous Dubrovnik’s city center, at the entrance of river Ombla, Gruž has been Dubrovnik’s main harbour for centuries. Gruž is popular among both locals and visitors for its food and fish market. Its seaside promenade offers a vista of old Renaissance villas, historic carracks and brigantines docking next to modern yachts.
BIB NUMBERS PICK UP
Bib numbers pick up will be possible on Friday,
October 11 from 5 to 7pm and at the race day on
Saturday October 12 from 11am to 12.30pm at the terminal in Gruž Harbour. Please bring your identification documents (passport, ID or driver’s license) with you.
The race package will include; start number, swim cap, race stickers, polo shirt, brochures.

– What are the race rules?
The race is governed by the International Triathlon Union

– What are the cut off times?
Intermediate cut-offs on the bike and run may apply in the interests of athlete safety and to enable roads to
reopen according to the schedule agreed with the authorities. You must be out of the sea by 3pm. You must be off the bike and on the run by 4:30pm. The end of all races is 5.30pm.
Schedule – What do I need to do on race week?
Attend mandatory race briefing just before the start. Register onsite either Friday 5-7pm or 11am-1pm Saturday.
Rack your bike before you race start on race day 11am – 1pm
Bring your own race number belt.
Bring your own helmet. Wetsuits are recommended but optional.
– What is registration procedure?
All athletes must register in person at the event to collect their race packs. Nothing gets sent out in the post! In order to register you will need: Photo Identification (passport, ID or driving license)
– Can someone else register and rack my belongings for me?
No, the athlete racing MUST register and rack their own bikes. Photo ID will be requested for registration.
Racking must be done on the day of the race. 11am – 1pm
– Can someone else collect my items for me?
No, the athlete racing must collect these personally. Race numbers will be checked upon entry and items will be checked against your race numbers when leaving.
– What is there to know about transition facts?
Race equipment can be placed next to the bike.
The helmet can be placed on your bike if it is attached to the handlebars. Anything left will be removed.
NB: Cycle shoes can be on the bike as long as they are attached to the pedals. Nutrition and bike computers can also be left on the bikes as long as attached. Your bags and other things can left be in the athletes baggage area in transition and available to collect as soon as you finish the race.
We are not responsible for the things in your bag. When you come to rack, your bike, helmet, and bags must have your race numbers securely applied to them. Stickers are given out at Registration. You must have your helmet on with the strap fastened and you must be wearing your race number. You must have your helmet fastened before removing your bike from the rack and keep it fastened until you have placed your bike back on the rack after having finished the course.
– Can I practice the swim course prior to the event?
Prior swim practice will not be possible for two reasons. First, the swim race segment will be held in controlled conditions. The second reason is that swimming will be allowed in the swim race segment only on the race day from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. since this area of the race course is within the Port of Dubrovnik, where swimming is not allowed.
– Can I enter the water prior to the race?
Very short warm up next to the swim course will be possible, after the mandatory race briefing.
– Can I wear a neoprene wetsuit?
The wetsuits are optional sea water temperature between 14 C and 22C, we recommend you use one but it is not obligatory. Sea temperature is expected to be around 20C. You cannot wear your hats, booties and gloves for the swim. Official Race swim caps are obligatory and you will get one at registration.
– What do I do if I need assistance during the swim?
If you feel the need, please turn on your back and raise an arm in the air to attract attention from the swim Safety crew.
You are allowed to grab the boat/paddle board of the safety crew, but moving forward while doing this will result in a DQ.
– Bike facts:
1. iPods, MP3 players, phones, video cameras etc. are not permitted on the course
2. Your race number must be worn on your back, use a number belt which is an elastic belt with the number pinned to it.
3. Note that athletes must be able to repair a puncture
without assistance and should carry spare inner tubes and tools.
4. No drafting will be allowed. ( cycling close behind another rider) Drafting is illegal at our race.
– Can I use a hybrid/mountain bike?
The allowed types of bikes are : TT bikes, Road Bikes,
MTB, Trek Bikes. Electric bikes (e-bikes) are not allowed.
– Can I use disc brakes?
Disc brakes are allowed.
– Run facts:
1.iPods, MP3 players, phones, video cameras etc are not permitted on the course
2. Your race number must be worn on your front
3. Bring your own elastic race belt.
– What nutrition is available on the run course?
Water, on run course only.
– How can spectators get around and watch me on race day?
This is a multi-lap, flat, spectator-friendly race course. Due to the design of race course, you’ll be able to support triathletes from the start, through transitions, all the way to the finish line. Due to the closed roads and the port, no access is allowed to the bike course.
– Can my friends / family / pets run down the finish line with me?
No. Any athlete who crosses the finish line with a spectator will be disqualified. It is a safety risk to the athlete, the spectators, other athletes, and staff to have non-competitors running down the finish line. It may also hinder other athletes achieving their personal goals or have their treasured
finish line photo obstructed by spectators on the finish line.
– What is the event’s withdrawal and transfer procedure?
It is not possible to defer your entry to another athlete.
– Is there a lost and found area?
Yes, at the info booth.

SWIM:
– SUPER SPRINT SWIM: 1 X 375M (1 LAP 375M)*
– SPRINT SWIM: 1 X 750M (1 LAP 750M)*
– OLYMPIC SWIM: 2 X 750M (2 LAPS TOTAL 1500M)*
BIKE:
– SUPER SPRINT: 1 LAP BIKE 10KM (1 BIKE LAP 10KM)*
– SPRINT: 2 X 10KM LAPS BIKE (2 BIKE LAPS TOTAL 20KM)*
– OLYMPIC: 4 X 10KM LAPS BIKE (4 BIKE LAPS TOTAL 40KM)*
RUN:
– SUPER SPRINT: 1 X 2.5KM LAPS RUN (1 LAP TOTAL 2.5KM)*
– SPRINT: 2 X 2.5KM LAPS RUN (2 LAPS TOTAL 5KM)*
– OLYMPIC: 4 X 2.5KM LAPS RUN (4 LAPS TOTAL 10KM)*
*Please note: have your number visible on your back on the bike leg and in front on your run let. You are responsible to count your own laps, and totals, there will be on each turn point crew members counting your laps but they are there for safety reasons as well as noting lap numbers for control reasons. They can not communicate with you during the race and they can not give you information about your lap numbers. It is your responsibility to count your own laps. If you finish and do less laps than laps you are obliged to do for your distance you will be disqualified. If you do more laps it is not the fault of the crew members.
