The Very First International Triathlon in Dubrovnik
In 2018, the Triathlon Club Dubrovnik, Bespoke Events UK – the UK team behind Brighton & Hove Triathlon and the Dubrovnik Tourist Board organised the First International Triathlon in Dubrovnik. It consisted of an Olympic distance and a Sprint. In addition, individuals and Relay Teams raced the First Triathlon in Dubrovnik on that sunny and warm Saturday afternoon on October 13, 2018. The race venue was the Port of Dubrovnik.
All together 150 athletes participated. “A fantastic race and a great pleasure to win in my hometown” said the Olympic distance winner from 2018 and professional triathlete Jakša Diklić. In addition, more than 50 volunteers plus many other locals and companies helped to execute this very demanding project. It was a “dream come true” for the local Dubrovnik Triathlon Club to have such a high-quality event over the weekend mid-October. And now, for 2019 we are ready to welcome even more to our lovely city.
